A Couple Of Mixed-Up Guys

In the early days of radio, many programs had a whole cast of characters. Bobby & Brad on 94.9 MixFM manage to seem like a whole troupe (almost) by themselves. Making their morning show achievement all the more special is the fact that they aren't even in the same room when they do their act — Brad (an Amphi High grad) stays in Colorado, while Bobby — a recipient of the Tucson Ad Federation's Golden Mic Award — mans the fort here. Their shows combine soft rock/pop music, news, personal observations, and whatever jokes strike them as funny, all firmly in the land of family friendly (not an easy feat in today's radio market). Add in timely weather analysis by Jimmy Stewart, traffic reports by "Big Al" Kath, and you've got a show that has grown on a lot of Tucsonans. The dynamic duo also does their share of charity work in the community, and can be seen and heard supporting organizations such as Miracle on Church Street.
