Stuff the Bus for Haiti

When: Friday, 5am to 7pm
Where: Brake Masters, 22nd and Kolb
What: Collect donations for disaster relief in Haiti

Help fill a SunTran bus with relief supplies, which will be delivered to WORLD CARE, the Tucson based non-profit humanitarian organization. WORLD CARE will deliver the collected items to Haiti. Specific items needed are:

First Aid supplies:

• Face masks
• Gauze squares (mass quantities)
• Gauze wraps (4 inch)
• Hydrogen Peroxide
• Iodine (Betadine)
• Surgical Gloves
• Antibiotic Ointment
• Rubbing Alcohol
• Fluffy cotton balls to clean wounds
• Tape for bandages
• Pain relievers
• Razor blades
• Band-Aids
• Crutches/braces
• Tents for performing triage due to the health system being overwhelmed

Medical supplies:

• Suture Kits
• Heavy Pain Killers
• Tools for medical doctors to perform amputations
• Antibiotic pills
• Supplies to sterilize serious wounds from fallen debris
• Sharps containers

Hygiene supplies:

• Shampoo
• Alcohol free and baby shampoo
• Bar soap
• Washcloths
• Toothbrushes/paste
• Nail clippers
• Feminine products
• Baby diapers/wipes
• Other hygiene products

Emergency Relief:

• Flashlights with extra batteries
• New or gently used blankets and sheets
• DRY food (i.e. rice, beans, canned goods)
• Powdered milk
• Baby formula (powder)
• Supplemental drinks (i.e. Ensure)

We are NOT asking for clothing at this time. All other donations that you think will help with the effort please donate!
